Alan heads up a specialist environmental team in Cundall which is focused on low-energy, health & wellbeing and sustainable building design.
He is an accredited BREEAM Assessor, AP & SKA assessor.
He implemented the WELL Building Standard on Cundall’s London office which was the first WELL certified office in Europe.
He is keenly interested in biophilia and in particular how plants can improve air quality inside buildings.

This presentation will introduce the WELL Building Standard, how it was implemented on Europe’s first certified project, 1 Carter Lane in London. It will cover the construction costs, result of staff surveys and metrics which show the actual cost benefits in terms of absenteeism and staff churn.
