In his role as R&D Manager for Monaghan Biosciences, Dr Gaffney develops and implements the R&D strategy for the industrial enzyme development company. He manages a team of more than 20 multidisciplinary research and development scientists across Fermentation & Process Technology, Applications Development, Molecular Biology and Analytical Development groups. Monaghan Biosciences has recently been awarded two multimillion euro projects under the H2020 funded Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking. Darragh holds a PhD from the University of Limerick on the activity and immobilisation of enzymes.
