    Talk Title:

    Lean without a Burning Platform

    Synopsis:

Lean programmes are often set up by organisations in response to a crisis such as improving product or service quality, addressing internal costs or competitive threats.  Once the improvements have been delivered and the crisis is over, the Lean programme may or may not survive and the organisation reverts back to business as usual.  If Lean is as good as it is meant to be, why are these organisations not applying Lean as part of their ongoing business model instead of waiting for the next crisis. This talk will outline how Lean is being aligned with the Corporate Strategy for the National Treasury Management Agency.
