    Early 2016, Malte Schlüter was appointed as Director for Food & Beverage and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) of the Factory Automation – European Business Group at Mitsubishi Electric Europe. His role is a  multifaceted one and includes taking care of global customers in this fast moving, highly competitive and demanding sector and supporting the regional sales team within their key account business. Most of Mr. Schlüter’s career has been in the food, beverage and consumer packaged goods automation sector working with well-known automation and motion control companies in technical, business development and management roles.

    Presentation title – Industry 4.0 and Open Standards

    Brief synopsis of the talk-  Manufacturing industry is currently undergoing a period of rapid change. In concrete terms this can be seen as the move from automated production to fully digitised manufacturing. New goals are continually being set, but the target is to use existing standards to achieve them. Malte will talk through various Industry 4.0 solutions available to help achieve these goals, including; how to reduce unplanned downtime, improving predictive maintenance, optimising asset lifecycle management and production, and how to reduce total operating costs
