Presentation Title:North Bull Island: Striking a balance

Synopsis: North Bull Island is a coastal sand spit located in Dublin Bay which has several nature conservation designations for the habitats and the species they support. The future of North Bull Island is about striking a balance between nature conservation and recreation within the wider context of the Dublin Bay Biosphere. This presentation will detail the efforts of the North Bull Island Volunteer programme, one of the several approaches to sustainable management of the island, and their use of peer to peer community engagement.
